In the hall of JSC "MAGE" from 11th till 13th August there was held a conference dedicated to consideration of proposals about new geological projects on the continental shelf of the RF and in the World Ocean concerning the reproduction of the mineral raw hydrocarbon base for 2011. The representatives and specialists of the following organizations took part in the conference: the Federal Agency for Subsurface Use and the Department "Morgeo", the research institutes "VNIGNI", "VNIIOkeangeologia", "VNIGRI" and "VNIIGeosystem", the operational organizations "MAGE", "SMNG", "Yuzhmorgeologiya", "SEVMORGEO", "DMNG", "AMNGR", "PMGRE", "Soyuzmorgeo", "GeoServis" and etc. In total there were submitted 29 proposals from 12 geological organizations. After consideration and discussions the experts chose a number of priority areas of the continental Russian shelf, and the work at those areas would be included into the government work list for 2011. The list also included subject projects, aimed at the integration of available geological - geophysical data, performing of geological oil-and-gas zonation and assessment of the Arctic Seas’ hydrocarbon potential.
